Susan Stobbart Shapiro Elected President of Anne Arundel Bar Association Board

Council Baradel is pleased to announce that Susan Stobbart Shapiro has been elected President of the Anne Arundel Bar Association (AABA) Board of Directors, effective June 9, 2026.
Founded in 1931, the Anne Arundel Bar Association is a nonprofit professional organization representing more than 1,200 attorneys practicing in Anne Arundel County and throughout the Baltimore-Washington metropolitan region. The AABA is dedicated to advancing the administration of justice, upholding the integrity of the legal profession, and supporting the professional growth of its members. Through educational programs, networking opportunities, and leadership initiatives, the Association helps attorneys strengthen their legal knowledge, build professional connections, and achieve excellence in their practice.
Susan Stobbart Shapiro is a partner at Council Baradel and leader of the firm’s labor and employment practice. For more than 25 years, she has advised businesses, executives, and professionals on a wide range of employment and business matters, including workplace disputes, employment policies, contracts, non-compete agreements, and regulatory compliance. Susan regularly represents clients in state and federal courts, before administrative agencies, and in alternative dispute resolution proceedings. A recognized speaker and author on employment law issues, she is an active contributor to the legal and business communities through presentations, publications, and professional leadership.
